Jaline
Pol
Born in the flatlands
of North France, Jaline Pol resides in the heart of the lush
countryside of France's southwest. The rich red of the poppy-flower,
the striking green of abundant foliage and the sunny yellow
of a summer meadow compose Jaline Pol's palette - color has
always been her inspiration. In 1979 while visiting Africa,
she found herself swept up in the surrounding colors. Irresistibly
drawn to the multi-colored robes and wrappings of the African
culture, she discovered batik and began working with oils.
In 1984, Jaline Pol attended the Beaux-Arts and began working
with a palette-knife painting technique. Today, many important
private art collections include Jaline Pol’s paintings.
Her works are exhibited in France, the US, South-Pacific
and the Middle East. Jaline Pol was born 1946 in Le Catou,
France. She studies at the School of Fine Arts.
