Ashton Howard
Ashton Howard was born in 1979 on the Gulf Coast of Pensacola, Florida. He found his love for fine art at an early age, working in oils. Ashton's passion are beautiful landscapes and sunsets. In the summer of 2000 he moved to Southern California. Today, he employs oils and heavy bodied acrylics to create layers of dimension and texture on canvas. Uniquely, he hand presses sea shells and corals from his world travels into his works. This technique creates a soothing connection between the art and distant tropical settings. "My intention is to create an escape, a resting point for the soul" explains Howard.
